Biggest advise would be to diversify your portfolio. That way if there is a bear trend in one of your stocks, it doesn't feel like shit as it's only 1% of your holdings.
When the whole market is red, just think of it as a time to put more money in because the companies you are bullish on are at a discount. That at least makes me feel better about it.
