Platinum is difficult to work and there's a lot less of it and in fewer deigns. Maples and Brits seem generally to be the lowest-cost options. Try these two options, or wait for some sit to have a sale on premiums.

>whats so bad about platinum?
Its extreme rarity and the challenges of working with the material rendered it undesirable in days of yore. Now it has great industrial use as well as in jewelry. Its industrial use is mainly in catalytic converters. With internal combustion engines and by association catalytic converters falling out of favor, demand has decreased. If hydrogen fuel cells ever become a 'thing' (and I believe it will eventually dominate) Pt will again become valuable in industry. This assumes alternatives to Pt will not be found, though that is a current quest.
It's nice to have a little though. It's a speculation metal and having a sample is interesting. It's even a tiny bit denser than gold.

Yep - glad they offer the silver 1-ozt version. Will get that.

Ditto, plus there are few nice designs. Kooks of course are always a nice addition.

It's priced rather well right now.
Bad: it's used mostly in catalytic converters in internal, combustion engines, which are being manufactured less.
Good: I have hopes for hydrogen fuel cells, which may use it for a new catalytic purpose. It's also one of 50 "Critical Minerals" per the USGS.
