Is trading price swings/differences between ETH & BTC a viable way to increase holdings?

My whole portfolio consists of 60% BTC and 40% ETH. Both coin movements are closely correlated, and I don't really care which one to hold - could be 100% of either for all I care (I'm long term holder).
However I noticed that sometimes there's discrepancies between the two - could I take advantage of that?
Let's say ETH goes on a 20% rally while BTC stagnates - for now ETH has relatively higher value than BTC, so I exchange ETH to BTC. Then eventually BTC goes on a rally, or ETH gets hit hard - value balance changes and I turn all BTC to ETH. In return now I have ~3% more ETH. Repeat.
Is this a viable strategy? Anyone tried it?

Every week I see the Ethereum ecosystem growing:
New projects being made, old projects releasing updates, meanwhile the core dev team is constantly livestreaming their meetings where they talk techy shit about testing PoS and other scaling solutions on testnets, BAT is getting real adoption, MKR/DAI is something never before seen, decentralized exchanges are actually being used more and more, DeFi getting more Dapps/participants (MLN v1.0 released just today), multiple stablecoins being used, REP, privacy with zksnarks and ENJ, GNT... wtf, too many things

Meanwhile BTC and it's forks are developing absolutely nothing. Corekeks have been waiting on LN, Rootstock, Schnorr for years and still be waiting for years to come, multiple big companies have dropped support already. Bcashies have their scaling solutions (big blocks) ready, yet nobody is willing to use them. LTC is pointless altogether.

Most of /biz/ already understands this and are talking mostly about ETH+ERC20s now. Plebbit forums are slowly also coming along.

>BTC dips, ETH goes up
>sell ETH at peak, buy BTC at dip

is there anything wrong with this tactic? I've been making good money day trading just doing this the last weeks desu

Seeing that ETH is a rather reliable coin with fast transaction times, I was thinking about writing a simple arbitage bot which would allow for turning BTC into ETH on one exchange and then selling ETH for BTC on another exchange, with profit. From the data I've collected it it would work very well, even despite the withdrawal fees.

Is anyone doing something similar? What are your experiences?

BTC is worse than almost any other coin (slow, high tx fees, arguing developers, minimum updates, another incoming chain split, majority of mining power held by the CHINESE ffs)

Why do informed anons still hold it?

When is BTC & ETH correction coming again?

is it even worth getting into BTC & ETH at this point?

BTC = $3700+
ETH = $300+

They both seem overpriced and as if they have to go down soon. When will the fall? I'm waiting to buy BTC around $2500 - $3000 and ETH around $200-$250. It has to happen right unless both are really manipulated.
