When the 10 year starts ripping people become bearish. The biggest issue right now is the Yen. Every time it breaches 150 the BoJ dumps US treasuries to defend the Yen. Putting useless old US treasuries that no one wants onto the open market makes the 10 year spike, which causes stocks to fall, and causes people to panic. Japan’s loose monetary policy could easily bring us down if no one keeps buying the treasuries the BoJ dumps onto the open market
