So anyways, WTF happened to Linkpool and what does it mean for LINK staking going forward?

I have questions.

Using market.link and exporting the CSV for the LINK rewards for Linkpool from the beginning of the last distribution period to the actual distribution date (2/8 to 2/21), i get a total or 26,271 LINK paid to LP nodes. The dapp puts the actual distribution at 26,621 LINK, or $800k (assuming $30 link), and that jives when i check how many linkies i got at distribution compared to how many LP i own. The two numbers aren't equal, but they're close enough for me to ballpark LP's operating income. If i do the same thing for the previous distribution, i come up with similarly close but not-quite-the-same numbers. Whatever. Long story short, the 25% of LP's income paid to LP token holders comes out to 6655 LINK, a full 25% of LP's total LINK rewards.

But market.link also reports that LP's nodes' gas fees are in the neighborhood of $600k for that same time period (assuming $1800 ETH). Again, ballpark numbers.

So LP's operating income for the two week distribution period beginning 2/8 and ending 2/21 should be close to $200k. But they paid out a full 25% of the total LINK rewards to the 1000 LP token owners, rather than 25% of the net proceeds.

These numbers imply the LP team is covering the entire cost of the operation out of their 75% of LP's proceeds. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, but that seems a little too good to be true. Am i missing something, or is the team simply being that magnanimous?
