Best stockbroking platform for Auscunts?
I'm a small fish, gonna try investing maybe 1000 AUD and see what that can get me.

Finally got my first relief check from the treasury.

And now silver is way through the fucking roof... god damn it do I just let it sit in my bank account?

I'm heading back to university soon and I want to put away whatever cash I can scrape together so it's hopefully appreciated some by the time I finish my 5 year degree.

I've got relatively little to my name (probably about 10 grand). Is that even enough to justify bothering? If so, should I be looking at term deposits instead, or are stocks the right choice- and should I do day trading or sit tight and keep ahold of dividends?
Any other advice would be appreciated.
