people were trading and buying each other's pepe cards for a few dollars a pop, sometimes a lot more, I easily made $100 on each card I made and submitted to the site, a few cards, significantly more than that. A dozen or two people would always buy them.
I sat on my profits in the meme currency we all used (the XCP token PEPECASH) and that doubled all the profits I made, I cashed out, and soon after submissions closed forever to preserve rareness, nobody cared anymore and nobody is buying or selling blockchain certified rare pepes, but it was a fun as fuck year or two that it lasted
