>if one of those sling bullets hit a man in the forehead just right, it would leave the imprint of the engraving

Kek, I'm certain it happened. I haven't seen pics but have read about some bullets that were allegedly made with an embossed erect cock'n'balls, imagine the poor cucks found laying on the battlefield with fatal blunt-force mushroom stamps sunken into their heads lol. The ancients were the OG trolls, they could craft and deliver a good shitpost better than most fags today.

Blessed digits. The weights of the cast lead bullets varied widely, ignoring outliers the smallest common/standard weight was only 25g, but I have others that were monsters, weighing up to ~250 grams and I've seen even bigger ones. Just dropping a half pound chunk of lead on your toes would cause problems, but imagine how devastating they would've been at 150-200+FPS? More kinetic energy than carried by almost all modern bullets at muzzle velocity, and instead of just going right through someone they'd smite a poor bastard with a crushing blow transferring all that energy into their pulverized bones and ruptured organs. Brutal shit.
