craig never signed with any satoshi keys.
he has been caught forging signatures and reusing block 9 tx signature but never signed a message properly verifiable with a bitcoin client.

there are two main ways to fake a satoshi signature
1) signature reuse (a tx signed by satoshi is passed on as "random" message or "sartre").
2) a failure to prove a hash that is verified in a signature belongs to an intelligible and not reused message. because from the public keys anyone can generate a valid signature for random "h(m)" such is the nature of ecdsa.

it gets worse if you look at the script used by craig
it could validate anything because of that ""typo"" and it wouldn't execute if that was unintentional because the variable 'signiture' would not be set

also have to add in gavins case it was probably a bogus script. because gavin choose the message and i presume he known the message hash. but we also can clearly see from preserved evidence the script craig used can verify anything.

but if you don't use bogus tools and script it's the above 2 you can play a sleight of hand with and bamboozle people in personal signing seances.

i know they work because i have done it for the kicks.

i think he may have misspoke and meant public key. you can get the public key from a single transaction or signature and then you can generate a fake signature for a nonexisting message with it. as described in 2) >>19235070

lot of satoshi larpers "sign" with a "message to be reveled at a future date" sort of bollocks way. a slight of hand involves tampering with the hash of a message to change it to the random string you used for your fake signature.

craig is a sneaky bastard.
