yeah it's a good movie. the story it's based on is good too, but different from the movie
>For me, it's Valis, Ubik, 3 Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch, the Divine Invasion, Radio Free Albemuth, Flow my tears the policeman said and Scanner Darkly
just got a book about PKD and AI, building an android. excited to read it while related stories are playing out in the headlines

How to Build an Android

The True Story ofPhilip K. Dick’s Robotic Resurrection

David F. Dufty

Henry Holt: 288 pp., $26

In 2005, at the edge of robotics, a curious project took shape: an android that was an eerily realistic copy of science fiction authorPhilip K. Dick. It looked likePhilip K. Dick. It wore his clothes. Using sophisticated software that drew upon hundreds of interviews as well as Dick’s many published books, it even talked something like Philip K. Dick.
>there's even an /xsg/ meme about it, picrel

my favorite conspiracy theory is that Arthur Britto is a quantum AI and all the world's crypto miners are providing processing power for real-time world modeling capable of predicting the future and altering spacetime and it runs on starseed neanderthal GATE kid David Schwartz' 1988 patent for complex computing tasks to be divided between many processors
https://patents.google.com/patent/US5025369A/en
>A multilevel distributed computer system for distributed processing preferably includes a plurality of personal computers. A task inputted to the system is divided into a plurality of portions. As many of the portions as possible are distributed for processing on the lowest level of the system. Those portions unprocessed on the lowest level are distributed for processing on the next lowest level. Remaining unprocessed portions of the task are distributed to available computers on successively higher levels of the system until all of the task have been distributed for processing.
it's true because i believe it's true

I've been to Toronto and it just so happens that I saw that van at a car show parking lot. The car itself wasn't being displayed, but there was a dude getting something out of the sliding door as I was walking by. He had a shirt on advertising a taxidermy business and when he opened the van door a whole bunch of jars of urine fell out. I asked him why he was saving urine and he told me he used it to tan leather in giant vats in his basement. If you meet him and end up hanging out, let everyone here know how it went.

I don't see how to change the network on Bifrost from Songbird to Flare and I'm not sure that it's even necessary to do so. I already know that I am retarded, I'm not proud to be retarded, but sometimes we have things that we can't do much about other than try to push against it a little. How do I stack the boxes on top of each other to get the delegating flare banana? I just don't know. Can I send FLR to the ox... Songbird address or no bros?

You solve the circada, you are brought to a room, you are seated at a table with multiple duplications of your self. They (You) are searching for a version of themselves that possesses a certain measure of familiarity with Clive Barker's Hellraiser, both the book and the subsequent films (only the first two it seems).
You sit at the table more intrigued by the fact that you are seated opposite your duplicates than their agenda. It is only later, after being sent home, that you attempt to unravel what it was that they were after. How truly strange.
