but if a sudden totally unexpected event happens that demonstrates the need for liquidity on demand, delivered via a network existing outside the legacy centralized system, that could change the timeline considerably

i think the creation of a Ripple Test for digital assets to replace the Howey Test will take a year or two though, and i wonder if it will link up with/interoperate with other similar frameworks like the ones that have been coming out in Hong Kong, Singapore, and around Europe
