a friend of mine works in the catering sector for a large airline, he gets to fly all over the entire world for meetings, constantly gets fed with delicious as fuck food, has mind boggling benefits from the company and makes a fucking more than decent paycheck. sure, hes at work most of the day, but that is still a very rewarding job and life

So /biz/, I'm new here, but I've come here because I've taken a strong interest in building companies from the ground-up. I'm 20 years old and my one friend has a baking "hobby" that supplies small cupcakes for large parties and weddings and whatever. So far he's not taking a large business standpoint on it - but I believe it can become something huge.

There's nothing quite like it, not where I live. People throw an absolute shit-fit over these things! They're beautiful, too, and the pure novelty of some of these flavors make it seem like a Baskin Robbin's. I KNOW that success is here, I'd just like to get some advice about things.

How should I begin making this into a company? The products, logo and popularity exist (locally), but they don't even have a website for it. How do we get the name to reach far and wide? What are some general steps to take?

You go to school to learn, so you can be good at your craft, so you can make money. Is it really that hard to understand for some people?

Of course degrees are useless. They just say "wow you did a thing congrats." They don't disqualify you from being an idiot.

If you went to college for years and all you have to show about it is a piece of paper then you did something horribly wrong somewhere along the line.
