My bear case is simple. I think the republican party will slow the economy this year to get Trump elected. They will shut down the goverment for at least a month and by election time no one will remember that it was the shutdown that kicked off the recession, because many people already think we have one.

Anons is BEP/BEPC a good long term hold? Most countries are already pushing for more renewable energy sources. I'm going to outright say that renewables are the future but it definitely will become an even bigger market in the future. Although I personally believe that there will be competition in the future, I'm sure that BEP will have a large portion of the market to itself
