you have to accidentally give him your private key for it to work.

i could talk all day but i know you wouldn't listen so instead i'll just say what you want to hear:

+ blockstream's actions make perfect sense. they are just protecting BTC, there are no ulterior motives.
+ increasing 1 MB per year up to 32 MB blocks (buying 31 years for bitcoin development) doesn't make sense.
+ it's unlikely most people would be able to download a 32 MB block in 10 minutes in 31 years. 2 MB per 10 minutes in 2017 was just as hard.

+ if bitcoin got a chance to grow to be the world economy it wouldn't get enough resources to produce and propagate 2 TB blocks every 10 minutes.
+ multiple huge companies all over the world wouldn't get interested as bitcoin grew to be the world economy, it would get centralized!
+ more time to develop 2nd layer solutions aren't needed, lightning network is simple to use and works flawlessly.

+ on-chain scaling wasn't really needed for the tx volume at the end of 2017. SegWit solved everything with its 10% adoption at the end of 2017 (has 40% April2019).
+ segwit and the concept of block weight almost doesn't increase complexity at all.
+ segwit gives a theoretical increase of 100% tx/s (around 70% in practice) at the cost of 4 times disk space and 4 times bandwidth. that is smart compared to just increaseing max blocksize to 2 MB without segwit.

+ hardforking is impossible to do, even though bitcoin cash has done it without problem multiple times.
+ the security flaw discovered in BTC early 2018 that required all miners to upgrade their software, which all of them did, doesn't count as proof that hardforking would be no problem.
+ if the code was changed in 2015 to auto-increase blocks to 2 MB in 2017 (and 3 in 2018 and so on) miners wouldn't have had time to update their software.

+ bitcoin cash would still have come into existance even if BTC had not refused to scale on-chain.
+ faith in BTC wasn't lost when fees shot up to 50 USD per transaction in 2017.
+ non-mining nodes does something important.
