Exchanges work more like placing orders.
When you "sell" you're actually placing a sell bid for the current stock price. People can then submit buy orders at the stock's current price or at a different price. If a buy order is made at the price of your sell order, the transaction goes through.

The stock market is so active though, with large firms and the like, that most sell orders get picked up practically immediately. Especially sell orders that're at the current stock price. Rarely is there no buyers when a person puts in a sell order.

Does anyone have a system or a least a spreadsheet for taking profits on the way?

I held Link all the way to the top without selling on the way up like a retard and I'm doing the same now with CORE.

It feels less satisfying to sell just 10-20% and putting into tether/eth without tracking the profits you made and I'm wondering how fellow frens do it.
