So uh, why would the price go up?
The team only ever talk about the project on /biz/ the twitter accounts haven't posted in like a month or two, it feels abandoned except for the Onion swap (which is technologically impressive).

Sounds like it's just an autistic tech guy in charge of it and no one is taking care of the marketing/PR.
