The best recent example of this is probably clothing. Clothing companies are heinously inefficient and frequently produce a wide selection of overpriced garbage from shady suppliers. They cater to women who will pay for high markups, often order from their suppliers in small batches, and women will tolerate garbage quality because something 'looks cute'.

Although Costco could price their clothing a lot higher judging by amazon, instead they just have a few brands of decent quality and they only ask a small markup. Clothing is so much cheaper and better there it's ridiculous and it will be a big growth area for them.

Let me get this straight:
Sometime between now and April, the government wants you to spend a weekend off from your job(s) to fill out a bunch of complicated forms that give them more money. If you don’t do this, they will come and arrest you, giving you free meals and shelter in perpetuity until you agree to fill out their forms and pay them free money. Not only will they give you the free housing and meals, but they will remove from their pockets the sales tax you were previously paying in order to provide you with said free services.

Your plan, as I understand it, is to fill out the forms and give them your hard earned money for fear that they actually WILL give you the free shit that you work oh so hard to get. You consider the “outside” better because at least outside of prison they can’t tell you when you can and can’t leave your home, what you can do, and who you can be with.

You still feel this way in spite of the fact that they did exactly that during the so-called pandemic that they orchestrated.
