Why is it legal for hedge funds to pump up the price premarket with the intention of dumping on retail in the morning? Seriously is this not a pump and dump? I even hear cramer talking about well retail has to he careful because the big boys are running up the stocks premarket.

Well isn’t that fucking illegal? If Joe Smoe could pump msft up a couple percents premarket everyday to dump on everyone else he would be in court. But when a trading firm does it thats legal? Why?
