You are correct, metals are best for people trying to protect or diversify their savings and investments. Of course anybody is welcome to invest but if you don't have a strong financial foundation then you will likely be selling at the first financial emergency (medical, car, family, etc). Physical pms are for holding, if you have to sell them to pay rent or get your car fixed then you're doing it wrong.
