I'm strongly considering dumping my BTC/BCH for ETH and Monero. Bitcoin as a whole is just in for a rough ride with uncertainty these next few months, and Monero especially looks damn good.

But at the same time I made a lot by not selling either my BTC or BCH right after the hard fork. I don't want to miss out on that kind of shit again if it happens in November.

I was putting $1K a month into bitcoin (my job paid me 54k/yr), now I'm unemployed so I stopped, but if I get a higher paid job, should I continue or even bump up the monthly buy?

Should I invest in other coins? So far I hold BTC, ETH, and XMR and feel pretty comfy with those promising relatively safe, solid gains.

Whats gonna happen with Bitcoin Cash? Is there a secret whales club?

Ok, so I'm trying to understand the technology fundamentals here.

I cannot get a good fucking explanation for what Segwit is, and why it is good.

I cannot get a good explanation for what Lighting is, or why it is good.

Personally I am thinking about ditching my BTC and moving to other cryptos, because the massive shilling on this seems to be unredeemably toxic.

Is bitcoin just too far gone to get a sane discussion?
