The network is secured through ethereum. The economic game theory is secured by having insanely big rewards for those who secure it.

You are securing your share of the pie through acting as a bank lending your economic energy to reward yourself with an exponentially increasing share of the overall network over time. The less people have a share of the pie of future rewards, the more you make.

To really understand HEX, you need to look at the actual numbers of how profitable staking is. You need to understand the math behind shares and staking percentages, otherwise you won't "get it".

Pic related is a chart of how much interest you make depending on how many coins are staked.

Current APY is 30%, though it's actually much more due to compounding.

Considering that the OA coins are practically locked, and exist to increase rewards for stakers, the stake % is closer to 35-40%.
Considering that interest is dynamic, it's great for anyone staked right now while staking % is low, since they get ~30% APY.

These are the yearly interest amounts compared to staked percentages if you are an average sized staker. If you stake for longer, your rate is higher. Stake for shorter, your rate is lower.

I heard richard say that after the BPD the interest rate will be a MAXIMUM of %3.69

That would mean this chart would no longer apply is this the case?

Interest on the whole network is capped at 3.69% or less due to some people having stakes that end far off in the future. Interest to the individual staker however is dynamic and depends on the % of total HEX which is staked since that 3.69% per year inflation only accrues to the staker class. See pic related

>which is 3.69% of total supply annually.
that's IF 100% of the market supply is staked. most subhumans will never stake which means that the staking master race will collect 15% or more.

Big Payday is Nov 18. But I recommend you stake longer than that. BPD bonuses will also be compounded. Make all your stakes now before BPD to get that one-time bonus.

Also the way Hex interest works is the more people staked, the lower the interest rate. Right now only 25% staked. If on BPD it's 75% you'd get a much lower interest rate on your stakes.
