I'm a mutual fund fag. I transferred my whole market index tracking fund for a large cap index tracking fund as soon as Biden won. Democrats love buffing up large corporations almost as much as they love destroying small businesses. This lockdown is going to continue. All small business will die, medium businesses will languish. Large businesses will thrive.

I'm asking whether it's a good idea or not. I want to start as soon as possible because as mentioned I don't run any risk and I've heard it will benefit my if I start soon. I've seen that the minimum initial investment should be around 1000 (probably to diversify the portfolio), though that will take a year for me to start and I'd rather start now and fix things later. Also the amount I'll be putting each month if I get a job will be ~300. So should I start or not? And please no one word posts (except if you approve, then go ahead). Also I'd appreciate if you told me things you'd want to have known when you started.

What are your thoughts on a bond index fund such as FUAMX for short term holds? I want something that's not as risky as stocks or total market index funds that will earn decent dividends.
