Chances are that if you are a failure, your parents were failures, too. The fact that they attend the class shows that they want to correct the unfinished work, that wreck, that the parents left you with: that undisciplined brain, low-IQ.

I'd say: honor your parents. Don't blame them. But at the end I'm sure only the tiniest minority got properly equipped by their parents. Alas, perhaps victory feels all the sweeter if you get yourself out of the hole. Viel Feind, viel Ehr.

I myself got my shit together at 25. Half a year after my great love left me. Completed an entire degree in 3 semesters, and I could've done it in 2 if the uni allowed it. I already took many shortcuts and consultations with professors to make it possible, though. Currently doing my MSc. Feels bad that my degree is in Mathematical Engineering. Unemployable, I guess. So I go the lazy PhD route, I guess. Or jew my way into a normal engineering job. I have no good idea for my own company currently.

i.e. no experience, but a demonstrable interest.
