I never finished highschool even (our equalence past the mandatory 10 years) and never been in a boat before. Now i can control cranes and drive medium ships (as well as do maintenance on them) in challenging waters without issue since when i started in the industry, it was still "learning on the job" and non-regulated. I know that 80% of jobs now require a certain high school path, as well as certifications to use cranes, ships etc. But Norway is on the forefront of this compared to salmon industries elsewhere so i'm sure you can find a "learning on the job" job, seeing as nobody but Norway has really focused on this industry.
Simply find the local sea farms and apply to them i guess? Never thought i'd get a job at sea either but here i am 5 years later before regulations here changed.
