No really it's quite simple. How would you teach an AI what an abstract concept like good or evil means?
You cannot, it's not possible. Human beings do not think purely in terms of 0's and 1's. We abstract things, and we make new things out of our abstractions.
This is why I cringe at the idea of a "singularity". Most forms of AI are so simple that they can only work under very strict environments. The reason is because they cannot reason, they cannot think without being provided a very specific set of data. True AI requires abstraction which robots are not able to do, and are nowhere close to being able to do.
