Do you think it's a good idea to set up a crypto honeypot on your main computer as a canary to see whether you are infected?

By this I mean, create a folder called "cryptocurrency" in the root of your C drive and put an unencrypted wallet file containing $10 worth of BTC in it. Check it every night to make sure the balance is there. If it's gone, you are compromised.

I have a small but decent percentage of my BTC still on Coinbase for day trading purposes

Should I transfer it to my own wallet before Segwit2x or keep it on the exchange to sell it sooner? Coinbase said they will support Segwit2x I believe, does anyone know for sure?
