Oddly enough, that's pretty true. Issue is other random methods offer it just as well, and as Bitcoin becomes a more normalized speculative commodity, that one feature fades.

Kind of. So there are two factors when it comes to work and wealth.

The first thing is that wealth is actually easy to build, but it's not fun. Everything we see, every day, is about doing the opposite of building wealth. Remember, it's all about lamboland, not about wealth.

As for jobs, it's usually a frame of reference problem. Most people aim for companies that are established and large, but very few look for kind of lesser known million dollar companies that are a mess. In that mess you can make a ton of money just by solving rather simple problems if you take the risk. This year alone I got a 20k raise in a 50 person company that's existed for decades, simply because I was planning to leave and was one of the few people who knew certain systems they were pushing. The trick is to learn the things that are missing, even if they're not part of your job, and take them on as responsibilities so they don't fill that need. That's not doable in a larger company, with a large staff, and more financial ability to hire on redundant people. This also allowed me to take on other projects I wanted to do, especially ones that have been desired but neglected, so that I can negotiate a hire position and pay in the near future.

Even if they don't play ball and don't give me the amount I'm looking for, I'll just start looking for work elsewhere. Part of doing these projects, that I can be in charge of, is that I can create a sort of portfolio that I can present later down the road to other companies, showing off product lines I introduced, the systems behind them, and how I worked with multiple teams to optimize the projects to best benefit the company.

Eh, there's a lot wrong with this thinking. First of all 3% is not what is taught, it's more like around 10% and it's not seen as good as much as safe. In other words, it's protection against inflation and minor profit of money you earn from other sources, such as working. If you go for high risk, and focus on it you can obviously make more, but around 10% is basically what you can expect from excess cash if you just dump it into an index fund and ignore everything.

Those 10k% profits still exist in other systems, they just require a lot more risk where you can lose everything but also make it rich. Most people like feeling safe, this is true, and many can achieve very minor success working and saving for their 10%, that's all they really need with their base skill sit and desires. Then there are others who just enjoy the game and make that massive gain, but like with anything it requires a certain desire to be into something enough to take that risk. For some that might be Crypto, which has been a black swan so far, but that may not be true going into the future outside from those who really love it, just like stocks were for Warren Buffet, as he's obviously making more than 10% on what most people use to make 10% safely.

Amazon, not because of how good it is, but because of how much people trust it. Whenever there is any news about Amazon, the sector in which the news is part of shakes, even if it's not a big deal. This can be good as it creates buying opportunities, but it can also be bad as it can create periods of deflation in the sector, despite there being no reason for it.

Just look at the news of Amazon buying WFM, it's pretty meaningless but the retail and grocery sector got hit hard. Even something like BGS, which is a manufacturer of brands in the same way that Clorox or PG is, took a massive hit for no real reason.

I tried making a coinbase account, gave up when it asked for a ton of personal info. Is there anything that doesn't require so much info?

I just want to use it for ebegging and stuff as a fun little thing to do, nothing super serious.
