I am aware that's what you are proposing. I disagree with your premise NVDA *stock price* will outperform its peers in a timeframe that will be relevant for resonable option premiums. Rather, due to extreme AI hype, I suspect it is one of the most overvalued stocks in its peer group in the 3-5 year timeframe.

But as to pair trading overall, yeah it could maybe amplify your thesis to hedge out overall movement of the sector but you are paying a premium to options nerds for that so your thesis better be pretty schizo so they sell the relevant options to you for cheap.
