151 is definitely a great set to have, I only buy the japanese sets and cards though. sun and moon sets and singles have sky rocketed over the last few months, so I'd suggest getting any cards you want from that era now as they'll probably only go up steadily or quickly.
imo the sealed product has sailed for sun and moon and only the new product for below msrp or slightly above msrp is the right play. for singles, 6-18 months is a good time to buy after release. for sealed, 6-12 months is a good time to buy and let the hype prices for sets to go down to their lowest price.
