Nah, it's sunk cost fallacy. People who went balls deep at peak with all their savings+maxed credit, are now freaking out and hope to at least recover their investments.

The hold on for dear life approach is easy to profess when things look good, but as expected a lot of people (including all the professionals with deep pockets) bailed long ago.
