Yeah I know. It's gay isn't it? FDIC insured just like a bank. They're under a lot of pressure by the government; the IRS would really love to take a look at all those transactions. Although yet again, I can understand that if Coinbase wants to be seen as a legitimate institution in the US, they need to make absolute certain that no criminals are using their platform to trade crypto. That's why they want your soul. This isn't a game for them.

What happens if you cash out below the minimum taxable sum until you're done cashing out? Say 20,000 is the minimum that you have to pay taxes on, what if I have 200k and I cash out 15k on separate occasions, will I be able to avoid taxes that way?
