Did a quick past::present::future, it actually came out real interesting o_o
Past: Ace of Swords, Kether, Air. Fundamental building block of reason and intillect, atomic point of creation, cutting objectivity. Thelema is inscribed upon the blade, Love under Will. if Love is the Lantern, then Will is the iron pole with which creation is illuminated. The sword reminds us of this, striking upwards towards the crown, the sky, higher knowledge and razor sharp truth.
Present: Princess of Cups, Malkuth, Water. From the highest sephirah (Kether) we have struck straight down to the lowest (Malkuth). Emotion welling up from a subaltern position, the Swan leaping up from the earth and seas. See the turtle, it bears the world on its back, so too does our humble princess. Clarity of emotion and thought.
Future: Ace of Disks, Kether, Earth. Straight back up to the highest sephirah, fun round trip. Elementally as well, as Air is allied to Water, and Water allied to Earth, yet Earth opposes Air. The ace, the root of solidity and matter, dependability. The solar (To Mega Therion) disc on the green of spring, the egg waiting to be fertilized.
