One of the few intelligent posts I've read in a long time. Thank you for your insight, and I agree. Basically, social life is always about adapting to what is "acceptable" to survive, most people with mental illness or disinterest in society are like that because they couldn't adapt or because they didn't want. At one point in my life I was like that, then I just started to pretend I was normie, now I'm slowly becoming "the act itself". I've realized that to live good and normally you must completely destroy your inner critical self and adapt thoroughly to the normie paradigm, it's an interesting fact that no one wants to mention. I've read a lot about psychology, and I've gone to therapists and psychiatrists, and at the end of the day, psychology is just a discipline created to normalize people, I define it as "the discipline of adaptation", which is very ironic because most psychologists see themselves as somehow going against what society tells them to be, when in reality is the total opposite, psychology is the most normie discipline in service of the current social paradigm. The problem is that "normifying yourself" is what actually brings joy, because you are no longer in a constant state of cynicism while participating in society. For some reason or another, some people internalize this very early on (some on childhood, others in their adolescence, and some, like me in their young-adulthood).

This also brings up to mind what Sizek once said, that there's no "false-self or real-self". That people are what they act. That the act or the mask we put on the idealization of what we want to become or be, so it actually tells you more about yourself than what you don't act.The mask is the real you, your supposedly false self is, in reality, the most real part of yourself.
