And the market is vastly inefficient right now.
Today providers compete for the most exposure, aka: being known so that they attract clients, a small cloud provider in Norway will have difficulty competing with AWS because it simply doesn't have the brand recognition and marketing team of Amazon, doesn't matter if he is 20% cheaper,its isn't on the map.
Once there is a hub where you can access thousands of offers from cloud providers all over the world it will be another story.

Amazon/Microsoft/Alibaba are the equivalent of the Hilton/Mariott/Accor in the hotel industry and iexec is the Airbnb but in even better.

Been looking into strategies and looking at the market for short term rentals where I live. I live in a huge tourist city that thrives off the tourist industry. I've done a lot of research and looked at real estate prices for condos/homes as well as what other hosts are doing for short term rentals: Their prices, investments, location, etc

Been thinking of buying 4 condos for about 60-80k each and furnishing fully with smart locks and smart thermostats at about 15k/per condo for a total of 75-100k total investment per condo. After expenses and write offs I'm looking at roughly 25k/year profit minus the inevitable devaluation of the real estate itself. However since its going to be an income producing asset I'm not too concerned about the loss in real estate value. Should I buy now or wait until prices dip?

I may be spending a few weeks in Cleveland this summer. The local university opens some of their apartments in the summer for conferences and interns, and that looks to be what I'll use. I may not need to use it the whole time I'll be in the city though. I wonder if I could get away with listing the apartment on airbnb when I am not using it, or will this just end with me getting sued?
