Is 10s fast enough for point of sale? Seems like Nano doesn't even work for its only intended purpose.

The shilling finally got to me so I decided to look into Nano. Stunningly, it appears that not all in the crypto space are honest.

Instant apparently means median transaction time of 10.7 sec. How is this going to work at point of sale?

It takes 0.001 kWh to do the PoW, multiply that by 13.3 cents/kWh, and you get a fee of $0.00013. It would be far easier to charge a fee and drop the mining. Of course, you can't dupe people as easily unless you hide the fee behind PoW.

Actual sustainable throughput is 75 TPS. At least they've reached 1% of the advertised 7000 TPS from 2017.

To put it in perspective, this "free", "instant", and "infinitely scalable" DAG is actually 3x slower than XRP, costs 44x more per transaction, and has 5% of the throughput. I'm not impressed.
