I've read that being on the threshold security list doesn't really mean anything in reality. There is some retail shorting, but I'm sure that vast majority are institutions and MMs. These kind of people have probably been shorting since the 30s, so a momentary upswing is probably not gonna hurt all the profits they've made from shorting over the years. Unless they plan to make the squeeze happen themselves so that they can short it again at the top, the squeeze probably won't happen. If no one knew about it, maybe it would. But a bunch of people on here, twitter, wsb, and youtube are talking about. So the info about the squeeze is public knowledge. Would be nice to sell my shares at something stupid like $100 when I got them for $6, but I only see GME as a value play with the start up of the new consoles.

I have about $100 and entry level knowledge on how the stock market works, should I bother starting to invest or wait until I have a little more disposable income and knowledge?
