The 1950s were the historical exception. Sure, for a brief period of about 3 decades we had highly progressive taxes. However, we don't understand the long term consequences of progressive taxes well since that system didn't last for very long. The point of taxing the rich was to mitigate the effects of the great depression and to fund the military during the war. This system was never supposed to be permanent.
The chart is somewhat deceiving since it passes the idea that the 1950s were the norm and that we've declined since then. Instead, we simply went back to the normal state of affairs.

Will the flippenning happen after bakkt? I feel like BTC dominance goes against the interests of institutional money. Institutions want to have a variety of investment options so they can sell portfolios and advice to their clients. They don't make any money when BTC is the only profitable shitcoin.
