I want to believe so bad, the only reason I have xxxx shares is as a hedge against my own weakness. I talked to my mom, she said we still have like 100k in mortgage left.. I don't think my dad will be able to pay it off. Fuck, I'm so stressed now. Checked some mortgage calc and most I can afford is some 380k shack in the middle of nowhere.

I'm looking for a new job, but doubt I can get anything above 150k in Canada as a junior.
Maybe will move to the states and make bank (x2 what I get here), then come back and retire parents and get a place.

I think the only way forward is to either 1) head to the states, come back after making bank. or 2) just getting a new job here, and saving up for 5-6 years till I can get an affordable mortgage on a decent place.

Another alternative is that they took a page from the AMC playbook and sold directly to SHF. Even if that isn't the case, this doesn't solve their issues, it just delays bankruptcy. I had invested quite a lot in BBBY last summer and again when it dropped below $1.50 a few weeks ago, but it's clear to me now Cohen exited for a reason. No Carl Icahn or King Benchod is coming to bail them out.
