Some bloke extracted Ore from a mine. That got processed with a shitton of work and some chemical fuckery. Both metals are limited in the earth's crust, and pulling the shit from meteorites is - especially looking at the current oil situation - just not feasible. Not even IF we were to make rocket engines somehow electric by some magic. Guess what, Rockets carry shitloads of electronics, even more if we want to re-fire them. Guess what those electronics need?
Anyways, for the next 30-50 years I'm quite sure these Metals won't be made out of thin air all of a sudden, their VALUE is safe.
Their current performance on the market in FIAT however is a whole different deal. The whole market is a scam, there, I said it. Nothing about it is fair, some huge banks use the world economy as their playball and some "investors" made up "rules" and "analysis" to somehow make sense of what is basically the cabal dictating how economy should go.
None of this affects the reality that Gold and Silver are not at all easy to produce.
Unfuck your mind. One ounce is one ounce. If you hold it, it's yours. History WILL run it's course again one way or the other, and what you got for them in 1900, 1700, 1200, 400 BC, you will once again get.
