Is there any reason not simply to buy the GDX and the GDXJ, rather than mess about with individual gold-mining companies? I bought in pretty close to the bottom and I have already nearly doubled my money, and I don't see that I'd be doing any better had I bought Barrick Gold or any of the other individual companies. Are there any companies which are actually preferable to these two ETFs?
