You're supposed to have a strategy that you can backtest and forward test and have some idea of the expected percentage rate of success of your trades. If you're trading on hunch and feel you don't have anything solid to base decisions on and you're pretty much shooting in the dark. I'd like to short but I can't yet as TA gizmos and widgets have not given green light to do so. I wait for green light because I know green light is high percentage. If I short right here I don;t know percentage and it would be all loosey goosey of a trade.
