I'm not as big of a believer in crypto as many here. I think it's just speculation at worst, at best a non-productive asset. I don't see how it has any inherent value though and simply relies on people buying it who believe that it will be more in the future to sell it to the next guy. To a certain extent I hold the same feeling about metals, but at least with metals there is something real there - especially with the usefulness of silver. With a stock you're buying a sliver of a business, a productive asset.
