There were no naked shorts. The total amount of tradable $GME shares in the market is 114MM, the shares shorted 63MM. SI% of float 55%. Every short sale creates a "synthetic long" so the traditional float number in the SI % Float calc is wrong. It should include "synthetic longs", therefore there is never any stock with over 100% SI % Float which makes sense as you can't get 5 quarts of milk out of a gallon jug! Looking at the true amount of tradable shares in the market makes the number more logical, doesn't it?
