Alright I hope this will become a serious thread. I'm a total newfag, although I've been lurking on biz for quite some time. I get the basic concept of crypto, but I really want to understand the ground work. I've been reading on wikipedia for the last few days and looked at some whitepapers as well (Bitcoin, ETH, Chainlink). Can you show me some other good resources to really understand the fundamentals? Of course there are a lot of resources online, but I can't distinguish between solid information and pajeet shills Sometimes really informed discussions pop up here but I don't understand shit. Maybe some oldfags can help me.

well this all very old material there is the 5 acre land holding which suggest the grains. Tho I felt you could make quite a bit of grains on 1 acre.

There is no such thing as self sufficiency. You can lessen your dependence, but you still will depend on a great deal of things. For example how are you going to run your farm without a diesel tractor? Reality is given the work involved in running a farm it is not worth it. You can buy organic fresh food for cheap. If you think we are going to have more food disruptions then prep a nice little pantry of food. That said if you think full on civil war is coming then maybe a farm would be good, but better to join a militia.

5 acre farm like this can support 6 people with occasional excess to sell. Obviously you would still need to trade and buy things to maintain.

Everyone always posts this, but I wouldn't want this if I had money.

Even the 5 acre plot requires you to buy stuff for it to be feasible.
