Somewhat off topic but when I see these "support black owned business" gimmicks, it makes me think. I'm not going to buy from a small business just because it is owned by a black person. I don't buy from a business just because it's owned by a white person, either. I buy from a business if they sell a product/service I need and the price is right.

Maybe ~10 years ago I strongly held the viewpoint "I don't care about the color of your skin, I care about who you are as a person/your character" etc. However, when I see advertisements and media and politicians trying to push people to value blacks/jews/etc. over my own religion and ethnicity and skin color, it pushes me further and further into wanting to only support my own religion/ethinicity/skin color. The new meta in the United States is essentially promoting tribalism. Maybe that was the goal all along.
