I've been out of the loop for a while, so I won't claim to know what everyone is up to, but have some friends and keep tabs on things. Been around since the very early days, but I was never a true insider, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

A lot of OGs got rekt swing trading. Way more than you'd think, and some of your favorite Chainlink personalities among them. I am a gentleman and won't reveal names. Linkies in general seem to be really bad traders, swingies do indeed get the rope.

Good amount of people blew their load early on those earlier pumps above $4. Some of them probably bought back in, some diversified into other shit. A lot of Linkies turned out to be pretty powerful forces behind some of your defi favorites. BZX was fun, wasn't it?

Good number of people cashed out with good timing on the ride to $20 and are pretty much retired. I don't know numbers but I think a pretty big number of OGs fall into this category, just a guess though.

I'm sure there are still guys holding chad stacks, but these guys don't talk. At least not where I hear about it.

Overall, the LINK marine buzz kinda fizzled out because it seems the team has gotten much tighter lipped on leaks and breadcrumbs. A lot of the early days was more or less constructed to build hype. A certain venture capital firm played a big role in this. I needn't say more.

The need for oracles remains and continues to grow. Chainlink is the only solution that stands a chance at delivery. There is zero competition, the other oracle projects are literally jokes. However it still is difficult to try to construct a success narrative for Chainlink, given the difficulties around staking etc. The current implementation of chainlink is kind of a bit of theater if we are being honest. But its also a necessary step to bootstrap the network.

The oracle problem is staggeringly difficult, but if Ari thinks he can solve it, who am I to argue?

The LINK "OGs" as you know them are a fiction. Some OGs are never selling. Some OGs took profit on the way up. A good number of OGs got fucking rekt swing trading and now are trying to make up the loss on DeFi shit.

Anyone who tells you "OGs never sell" is either lying to you, or they are not an OG.

LINK OGs are a bunch of degenerate retards who wanted to pump and dump link, but were lucky enough to realize that the coin had some legitimate potential, so they adjusted their plans.

All I can say is, you need to consider your own situation, and your own risk/reward tolerance and decide from there. Link marines and Link OGs are not your friends. This was all a fucking psyop, as if that wasn't obvious by now.

I'm still fundamentally a believer in chainlink, and I think it can still be one of the biggest projects in crypto. But put yourself and your financial well being first. There is no brotherhood of marines looking out for you, you are in this on your own.

Why does the market value LINK as a top 20 shitcoin and not a top 5 chadcoin?

Is it market maker price suppression?
Is it a general ignorance within the crypto market?
Or is it actually a fair valuation?
