(FYI the EEA announcement back in February 2017 was what caused the pump to $1500+ over the course of a year.)
Now what the EEA and everyone in tradfi was and still is really after is tokenization of Assets aka RWAs, only Avalanche can do this at scale with Subnets and thats why it was chosen.
Like Chainlink, Avalanche was also created by IC3 and was already kingmade from the start.

some liquid staking protocols also delegate to all kinds of Validators automatically as long as they have the low % for the delegation fee.

Long term the Staking Ratio will continue to go up because Staking AVAX is needed to run Subnets and over 1700 Subnets are currently on Testnet.
