At my Home Depot store, the past week has been very slow...in fuckin April. Even when the gardening stuff like Bonnie and Burpee's plants came in not too long ago. Nowhere near as many customers buying bags of soil, fertilizer and trees either compared to 2023.

Prices of food is bullshit. I took my dad to Ihop during a road trip to Las Vegas. I remember last time was 2008 and you can get a shitload of items for under $14.

Now? Just for 2 people, 2 stacks of 5 pancakes, a country fried steak and an omelette, it was over fucking $50 this week. Shit's getting ridiculous man. Already seeing Weimar levels of inflation

Its a real shame. That's the same reason why shopping malls died out because they were full of gangs and thieves. Last time I even went shopping in person was 2010 in North Carolina at a mall. Even during daytime, it didn't feel that safe with groups of sussy black dudes hanging out and it was near one of the NICE neighborhoods too.

Same with retail stores from the old days. Sears, Blockbuster, Toys R Us, even Waldenbooks were affected by crime to a degree iirc. Its gonna suck when everything is going to be online only imo.
