I was here yesterday but I am in a bit of a dilemma.

I am about to inherit a very large portion of my family's farm in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE - it's massive and worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

My brother, the farmer in the family, wants to buy me out but I want to give him a fair deal whilst still getting a fair one myself.

How should I go about this? I could really use that money to establish myself overseas as well as scale my software business.

I grew up on a farm that I stand to inherit soon but I am a software developer by trade and know next to nothing about farming. Also it's deep in the third world (subsaharan africa)

My older brother also stands to inherit the other half of the farm. How do I go about selling it to him?

I want to get a good deal but I also don't want to shit on him for the sake of our future family relationship.

The land is extremely profitable and it's massive - it's a huge commercial farm in the middle of nowhere. Similar farmland was sold for $700,000 and it was only 75% of this plot and only tilled for a few years.

No you don't. I wish we could have our nation back, but unfortunately it is long gone. Zimbabwe is a very different place.
