I have a few low-silver content coins myself that I got for the sake of having the coin. If you're stacking for coins and numismatics then yeah, go for it. If you're stacking for silver I would stick to .900 and up.

But that's just an opinion. One Bumble Hunter's preference. You stack what you like and I'll stack what I like. As long as it's precious you can't lose.

To add to this, Eagles have a small silver content along with the gold and copper unlike the 'rand's strict gold/copper content which is why I'd assume it would hue "lighter" and not "redder".
